"After years of working with C, C++ and Pascal, finding Ada was a dream come true. Ada possesses the ultimate in flexibility (oo and non-oo), real standardization and validation, true cross platform programming, incredible compile time error checking, readable code, and support of all levels of software engineering. As a way of contributing back to the Ada community and to help advocate this powerful language AdaPower.com was formed.

"In order to support for GNAT and other Ada95 tools the very dynamic software
lifecycle under which developments and improvements are done by volunteers in
the GNU/Linux world, a group of Ada and GNU/Linux enthusiasts have decided to
form the Ada for GNU/Linux Team (ALT). We plan to deliver packages of GNAT and
related software for the GNU/Linux platform. We work together closely with
people from ACT to exchange GNU/Linux specific information and patches, and
to merge ACT's public releases with the ALT extensions from time to time."
